Pilates for Dummies
I don’t really want to lose weight in pounds, rather I want to lose inches, specifically on my legs (thighs, calves)
My legs are REALLY chunky compared to my whole body. Anyways, on Sunday’s, I can’t get myself to workout because I’m usually too tired, and I’m sort of fine with the other days. SO can you please help me come up with an effective workout routine that would give me fast results
You’ve got the right idea, the scale can lie. Tape measure not as much! I’d say pilates 2-3 times a week(a hour), cardio(running or elliptical) 2-3 times a week(a hour), 1 rest day and mix in the jumping rope with your stretching regime before and after working out(when you wake up and go to bed). It helps with muscle soreness as well as cold showers. And you will see how much more agile and flexible you become when you muscles aren’t all tense and un worked! Always remember to switch it up so your body doesn’t get use to the routine. There is no spot reduction though, I’ve tried. As you lose weight you lose it everywhere, some places slower than others and everyone carries weight differently. I still have chubby-ish thighs at 128 5′7 but the next 10 pounds should help with that, and I’m more soft than muscle. I just moved so I haven’t been running like I use to. Anyway just be sure to get your heart pumping and sweat dripping!
